Garmat Spray Booth
The
only true full pit down draft spray booth in Litchfield County.

It
features a 1.5 million BTU propane burner to heat the high velocity
incoming air to proper spraying temperature. It also bakes at any
temperature necessary for proper drying and curing of the refinished
surface. The booth triple filters overspray so as not to pollute the
air.
Speaking of pollutants, new paints, designed for use in today's world,
contain more solid materials and less V O C's (Volatile Organic
Compounds) than "old fashioned" paints. VOC's are any liquid product
that has the capability of evaporating into the air. The new paints are
designed to protect the environment. If a body shop does not have a
booth with high-volume air flow and heat make up, it cannot use low VOC
paints and is not operating as safe for the environment as it could be.
Chief E-Z Liner / Frame & UniBody
A & R Auto Body was the first frame & unibody repair shop in Litchfield County. At one time, all vehicles were built on "frames." These days, most trucks and SUVs have a "frame," but most cars do not. Their foundation is called a "unibody." Our specially trained
technicians are skilled at frame and unibody repairs on all makes and
models to ensure complete accuracy during your vehicle's repair. During the course of the frame and unibody repair, your vehicle will be measured by "Velocity" from Chief Automotive Systems. "Velocity," a computerized laser system, is the most accurate frame and unibody measuring system in the collision industry.
"Velocity" works in conjunction with the "Chief E-Z Liner" Frame and Unibody Machine. Your vehicle is driven onto the "Chief E-Z Liner." "Velocity" mounts underneath your vehicle. With a direct feed to a companion computer station, the laser accurately measures all points of reference on your vehicle's chassis so your vehicle can be straightened, if needed, to its original factory specifications. "Velocity" stores your vehicle's information and even provides a printed report that confirms your vehicle has been repaired correctly.
Pro Spot Welding System
We also feature the Pro-Spot Welding system. This process
duplicates factory spot welds on your vehicle to insure structural
integrity. There is no system out there that comes closer to factory
welding. If other collision shops do not do it this way, ask them why!
